Hartson
Kennedy - In 1948, Leo Hartson and William
Kennedy began a small business making cabinet tops in Marion, Indiana. Built
on a commitment to our customers of the highest quality and service, the company
was able to increase its business in cabinet top blanks and custom fabricated
tops in the surrounding central Indiana area.
Over the years, as the demand for our quality
products grew, the company expanded. In 1965, the Elkhart, Indiana
plant was started to further service the north and north east. Their
sales growth expanded southward and in 1985, the Gulfport, Mississippi plant was
added to service their existing southern customers and the growing southern
market. To compliment and expand their southern efforts, our Macon,
Georgia operation was started in 1989 and is now one of the largest fabrication
warehouses in the country.
In 1994, they expanded their product offering by
adding their Red Bluff, California facility, where they produced solid surface
line, CERATA®. In the summer of 1998, they relocated
their Red Bluff, CA operation to their newest Hartson-Kennedy manufacturing
facility in Glendale, Arizona. This plant also services the US west
coast with Hartson-Kennedy line of laminate cabinet tops. CERATA®
solid surface products give Hartson-Kennedy customers a new surfacing option in
addition to their Laminate Top Line. These expansions have allowed
Hartson-Kennedy to supply customers all over the United States and the world.
